App of the Month - ChatGPT (Paid Version)
ChatGPT - an app that you are likely well aware of but may not be using yet. Specifically the paid version as it unlocks powerful features that can save you time and streamline your workflow.
💰 Cost: The paid version, ChatGPT Plus, is USD $20/month (approx. AUD $30/month). It gives you access to the most advanced AI model, faster response times, and priority access even during peak times.
I recently put it to the test in a very practical way. I was driving to a client meeting when I suddenly realized I hadn’t started my car logbook for this financial year. Instead of hoping I remembered to start it later, I used the voice feature in the ChatGPT app (hands-free, of course!) to ask it to generate a spreadsheet for me.
I simply told it:
✅ What I wanted the columns to be (date, description, distance travelled, starting odometer, ending odometer)
✅ Where I was driving to and from
✅ What the trip was for
✅ My current odometer reading
Within seconds, ChatGPT created a fully formatted logbook that calculated my trip distance and recorded all the key details. When I arrived at my meeting, I downloaded the Excel file ony my phone and emailed it to myself—done and dusted before I even stepped out of the car!
How Can You Use ChatGPT in Your Business?
Here are just a few ways business owners like you can use ChatGPT to work smarter, not harder:
📝 Drafting Emails & Reports – Quickly generate professional emails, reports, or client communications.
📊 Spreadsheet Automation – Have it create financial reports, invoice trackers, or even mileage logs (like I did!).
📅 Task Planning & SOPs – Need a checklist or process document? ChatGPT can generate it in seconds.
💬 Customer Responses – Get AI to help draft responses to FAQs or tricky client queries.
🔍 Research & Quick Answers – Instead of sifting through Google search results, ask ChatGPT a direct question and get concise, relevant answers instantly.
For around $1 a day, it’s like having a 24/7 assistant to help you run your business more efficiently.
